Our newest Single Origin and it’s a beauty from El Salvador.

A deliciously clean coffee, perfect for a batch brew as the weather cools down but still a cracking cold brew for those of you in more tropical climates.

A Burundi – double ferment from Cerro El Aguila, El Salvador.

In the cup it has taste notes of citrus, maple syrup and roasted nuts.

The Origins

Edward Newald Meza, a fourth-generation coffee producer, tends to this coffee on his 57-acre farm nestled in Cerro El Aguila, within the Canton Las Naranjos region.

Embracing Burundi’s traditional processing methods, the beans undergo a meticulous journey: 24 hours of dry fermentation, washed every 12 hours, then submerged for another 24 hours. Following, they return to fermentation tanks for a 24-hour soak before drying on beds.

This exquisite coffee is part of the Aida Batlle Selection (ABS), a distinguished line curated by Aida Batlle, a celebrated coffee producer from El Salvador. Known for their exceptional quality and distinct flavours, ABS coffees are meticulously sourced from Aida’s farms and other premier producers, representing the epitome of coffee craftsmanship.

Aida Batlle, a fifth-generation coffee luminary, is renowned for her innovative farming and processing techniques, which prioritise sustainability and quality. Her unwavering dedication to pushing coffee boundaries has garnered global acclaim, captivating the palates of coffee enthusiasts worldwide. Aida’s passion and commitment continue to inspire and shape the ever-evolving coffee industry landscape.
