CARBON EMISSION REDUCTION
Our mission as a company is with the intention of reaching Net Zero emissions by 2040.
We are identifying and fast tracking the replacement of high energy coffee equipment in market, partnering with suppliers that can deliver a reduction in Co2 emissions.

REPURPOSING
Since 2019, we have been in partnership with social enterprise, Reground to divert ground coffee and soft plastics from landfill by repurposing them into innovative, higher value resources.
Through this partnership we have saved ~ 3.1 tons of harmful greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere, kept ~ 1.6 tons of ground coffee out of landfill, that have instead been used to create healthy soil and grow nutritious food at Melbourne Zoo and in home and community gardens.

PACKAGING
RENEWABLE AQUEOUS CUPS PULP LIDS
Our mission is to help to eliminate unnecessary waste by removing unnecessary packaging and making beverage packaging part of the circular economy.
Aqueous cups have a unique, water-based barrier coating that eliminates the need for the standard inner-lining.
Pup lids are made from white sugarcane pulp, a plant based, 100% renewable alternatives to the standard plastic lid.
SUPPLY CHAIN
100% ETHICALLY SOURCED COFFEE
All of our coffee suppliers are screened via EcoVadis, a corporate social responsibility organisation that ensures coffee is sourced in an ethical and environmentally friendly way.
We are also a proud partner of the Rainforest Alliance (RFA).
The RFA is a rigorous international sustainability program, with its certification symbol recognised around the world as a symbol of environmental, social and economic sustainability.
By 2030 our target is to have 100% of our products ethically certified.

SOCIETY
GROWER COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Grinders supports many local communities with select single origin release.
In line with our recent Honduras Rosa Miriam Games release, Grinders has continued to support The Tiera Lenca Women’s Coffee Group, a cooperative of 18 female coffee producers in Honduras to build a micro roastery and lab in their community.
This will allow the Group to roast their coffees to taste and improve quality for export, as well as retail coffees locally to directly benefit their families and communities.
